East Turkistan Australian Association is celebrating the East Turkistan National Day on Sunday 11th November 2018 from 1:00pm- 5:00pm at Thorndon Park, Hamilton Terrace, Paradise SA 5075.
Annually, we celebrate the East Turkistan National Day ( 12th November) to Remember the Historic two Republics were establish in East Turkistan in 1933 and in 1944.
East Turkistan, a heartland of Turkic Muslims for over 1000 years had been a core part of Muslim Ummah and Islamic Civilization. East Turkistan has been under occupation of Chinese Communist Authorities since 1949 as a result of an illegal annexation. Since this time on, Uyghur Muslim and other Muslim population of East Turkistan have been subjugated to vast grade of Religious Persecution, Cultural Destruction, Political Suppression and ethnic genocide policies of the Chinese Communist State.East Turkistan today has over 35 Million Muslims population and main language is Uyghur. The total area of East Turkistan is about 1.8Million km².
East Turkistan Australian Association is a community Representative organization based in Adelaide in Australia and East Turkistan Australian Association (ETAA) established in 1992 to cater for the expanding East Turkistan Community in Australia.
East Turkistan Australian Association aims to promote cultural understanding and goodwill in Australia through its variety of voluntary and community services. There are over a thousand members of the community in Adelaide and the most families are located in north eastern suburbs in Adelaide.
Since its creation in 1992, East Turkistan Australian Association has been an active part of South Australian Multicultural Society and it has gained significant recognition and reputation in Australian society with its positive contribution and variety of activities.ETAA has been actively engaged with Australian Government Agencies, Community Organizations and citizens to achieve prosperity and development in Australia.
East Turkistan Australian Association is also a representative organization to advocate the human rights and freedom of Uighur people in East Turkistan which is currently occupied by China. We promote and engage peaceful activities to inform Australian Government and public about the Human Rights situation of Uighur people in East Turkistan.
Each year, Government Federal and State Government Representatives, leaders of other communities and other VIPS join the Vibrant East Turkistani Community to Celebrate this historic Day while enjoying Uyghur Food, entertainment and much more colorful activities organised by East Turkistan Australian Association. For this year’s program, ETAA invited Federal and State MPs, Academics, Community Leaders, NGOs and other Muslim Communities to the Event and look forward to seeing you on the day.
